Now in its third generation – Brüchert + Kärner has been a family-run business for more than 80 years. Our areas of business have evolved over time, and since the early 1980s, beautiful white doors have been our passion in a market where we pioneered the movement to give doors the recognition they deserve. Linked to this, architecture, for example, is an ever-present theme that interests us and permeates every aspect of our lives. A modern new build, the renovation of a magnificent historic building, the gutting of a winding bungalow – all these things fascinate us and constantly provide topics of conversation and inspiration for new ideas. It is therefore no coincidence that we are at the forefront of innovations that continue to revitalise the market for interior doors to this day.

A house really comes to life as soon as doors that match the style of the exterior architecture are fitted. With great dedication and motivation, we have been working for many years to convince homeowners to place great importance on beautiful, high-quality doors. Time and again, we see just how much a house can benefit from its doors. A common thread running through our product ranges is the desire to modernise. After all, even classic styles require a touch of the spirit of our times.

We are convinced that you can tell from looking at an object whether it has been made with faith, conviction and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. To put it simply: our doors do not come off an assembly line, and more than just the finishing touches are applied by human hands. Even though the quality of our doors only truly reveals itself after years of use, you can recognise it at first glance.

Take the finish, for example – we can say with confidence that it is among the best on the market. The doors are painted in a single continuous coat all round – by hand. The multi-layer paint application enables us to achieve a sanded-finish quality. Many of the sanding processes are carried out by hand. This ensures that bevelled edges retain their contours and that mouldings are clean and clearly visible.

We do not produce mass-produced goods – every order is made to order. In addition to our own work, we deliberately use only materials from leading manufacturers in the production of our products. For example, when opening and closing them, you will notice how well-made and high-quality our doors feel in your hands. This is a characteristic of the solid MDF wood we use for our doors, which also ensures that not every word escapes to the outsid
